What wedding size is right for you?

Let me first start by saying that not every love story is one size fits all, and that is perfectly okay! In a sea of different personalities and countless options to tailor your special day, you have the complete freedom to take the reins and host a wedding in your own way. Maybe you’ve always dreamed about throwing a great party, or you’ve been in love with the idea of having a small intimate affair. Or, you are simply not sure what wedding type would be right for you. Either way, today I am going to introduce you to three ways that can help you decide!

Large Weddings

Having a grand fete with over 150 guests is considered a large wedding. This is perfect for modern couples who wish to invite many of their family and friends and just throw an iconic party. However, the average wedding size number is from 100 to 150, which is still considered to be a bigger celebration.

Micro Weddings

This wedding type rose into popularity in the past years, and it is here to stay. Many couples discovered that they would rather do things on a smaller scale rather than invite a great number of people – micro weddings typically have up to 50 guests (usually about 30). So, you would be sharing the joy with your immediate family and your closest friends. However, these intimate affairs also require incorporating the same principles as larger weddings – ceremony and reception venue and different suppliers to curate your vision. Still, you get to be yourselves in front of your favourite friends and family, in contrast to having to entertain people you have probably met once in your life.

Elopement

Elopements are upgraded from their previous meaning. In the past, they would signify a secret marriage or spontaneous intimate ceremony, but today, they are more meaningful and personalised! Eloping is ideal for couples who want to keep things simple yet romantic. Plus, there is the element of adventure – you get to pick any spot you like for your ceremony. Be it a breathtaking mountain, a sandy beach, or even an urban place as a rooftop; you can tie the knot in a location of your choice. You can do it with just the two of you with a celebrant and a witness (who can also be your photographer), or invite a handful of people to witness your I DOs.

Which wedding type resonates with you the most? Whatever you choose, I would be delighted to become a part of it by documenting your story. Feel free to connect with me!
